That’s terrible! How can any politician reject supporting any organization helping women and children from abuse?

I am humbled. As a white man whose never really been victimized, I cannot pretend to truly understand the experience of a black woman facing a dangerous situation. I am humbled to learn about the systemic obstacles Sistah Space and it's members are up against, even in a society as progressive as the UK... is rather shocking. And to a victim of abuse, standing between the fear of the next incident and the fear of getting help, I'm sure is so difficult. Thank you LoP for sharing this story, and thank you Sistah Space for your persistence.

It already broke my heart to read of these marginalized women who had no where to turn for help and were vilified even when they did.  

Visiting their website and getting the prompt about hiding their tracks really sunk in the violent risks they have even in pursuing resources.

Bless them for what they do, I just wonder about all the other boroughs and locales that don’t have but desperately need their own Sistah Space 🥺
